# Puzzle solution P1

Of course it is possible to have one apple remaining in the basket.

**Let’s revisit the question:**

*You have a basket containing 10 apples. You have 10 friends – you give each of them one apple. Now all your friends have one apple each but there is still an apple remaining in the basket. How is this possible?*

The question is actually quite simple but makes us think in very complicated ways. However, let’s look at the elegant answer here.

After giving 9 apples to 9 friends, give the 10^{th} friend the basket ** WITH** the 10

^{th}apple in it.

Aren’t you smiling about the fact that you didn’t think of it this way?

Congratulations if you got the correct answer!
