Pranava: A Masters Grade Level Achiever in STAAR Grade 6 Math
Scoring 2137 in STAAR Grade 6 Math, Pranava ranks in the top 2% nationally. Here’s how his consistent practice with Cuemath made the difference.
How do you study for the Math STAAR test? You could ask Pranava, our Masters Grade Level performer in STAAR Grade 6 Mathematics, who scored 2137 and placed in the top 2% nationally.
What makes this achievement even more special is that it is the highest he has ever scored. Ever since he joined Cuemath in 2023, his parents have noticed a clear shift in the way he approaches math, his confidence, and his willingness to take on tougher problems. This year, it all showed up in his school exams. Here’s his story.

What the STAAR Grade 6 Math Test Really Measures
The Grade 6 STAAR Math test measures much more than basic arithmetic. It focuses on skills such as:
- Ratios, rates and proportional reasoning
- Fractions, decimals and percent conversions
- Geometry and measurement
- Data interpretation and graphs
- Algebraic expressions and simple equations
Students either “Meet Grade Level” or “Master Grade Level” with their exceptional command over concepts and readiness for success in the next grade.
Pranava’s Cuemath tutor shares how this journey unfolded from the very beginning:
“With the right strategy and an engaging, enjoyable approach to learning, Pranava has achieved an exceptional 98% in the Grade 6 STAAR Math test!
When Pranava joined my Cuemath classes two years ago, he was a hesitant learner with low confidence and limited problem-solving skills. Today, he stands as a confident, independent, and highly capable math thinker. This transformation is the result of structured guidance, personalized attention, and a consistently positive learning environment that helped him develop strong conceptual clarity and the resilience needed to tackle challenges head-on.
At Cuemath, my goal is to empower every child to become “math-fit” — confident, curious, and in full ownership of their learning journey. Pranava’s success is a shining example of what the right mentorship and the right mindset can achieve.
So proud of his remarkable growth and this outstanding accomplishment!”
~ RAJIV KUMAR, PRANAVA’S CUEMATH TUTOR
Determined to support Pranava’s educational excellence, his parents chose Cuemath and shared that they have observed a notable difference in his approach.
“Pranava has been doing consistently well in math under Cuemath’s coaching and guidance. He began his learning journey in Grade 5, and since then, his improvement has been remarkable year after year. He scored 94% in Grade 6, and has now reached 98% so far in Grade 7. As the grades progress and the concepts become more complex, Pranava continues to perform better with each passing year. The ease and confidence with which he now approaches math, and the genuine interest he has developed in the subject, makes us proud. Thank you for the continued guidance and support.”

Pranava’s Journey With Cuemath
When Pranava joined Cuemath in 2023, he enjoyed math but was still finding his footing with multi-step problems. Cuemath’s visual worksheets and gamified practice sets turned it all around.
Instead of stopping at grade-level basics, his personalised sessions with Cuemath tutor, Rajiv, have prepared him for advanced thinking, the kind of standards STAAR requires.
We can already see how this foundation will support him as he moves into more advanced math in the years ahead.
This is Pranava. He is a MathFit™ Child.
