Yuneke Gonzalez: A Homeschooler’s Journey with Cuemath

Yuneke Gonzalez is a third grader who learns a little differently—and thinks a whole lot deeper.
Yuneke is a thinker, a builder, and an artist. Her days are filled with color, sketches, and big ideas. For Yuneke, creativity and problem-solving go hand in hand.
Before joining Cuemath, Yuneke found math a bit challenging and less exciting. Since starting in April 2023, she now looks forward to math, enjoys solving problems, and feels more confident in her skills.

- Grade 3, homeschooled
- Cuemath student since 2023
- Family prioritizes deep understanding over rote learning
- Beyond Math, she likes to sketch, draw, dance, and swim

But behind her quiet confidence is someone else: her mother. A working professional who wears many hats—and often feels the weight of not being able to do it all. She works long hours, but still finds time to stay connected to Yuneke’s learning. She collaborates closely with the Cuemath tutor, makes sure assignments are done, and keeps the learning rhythm steady. Even when time is tight, her commitment never wavers.
She’s always grateful. After every session, after every update, she drops a quick message to the tutor—a thank-you and a ♥️. It’s more than politeness; it’s trust. It’s knowing that someone is walking alongside her daughter when she can’t.

And the tutor? She understands Yuneke. She cues, guides, and challenges her just enough—keeping learning joyful and productive. She is flexible with schedules, patient, and even helps Yuneke with homework from outside Cuemath courses. After every class, she keeps Mom in the loop: what they covered, what’s next, and how Yuneke is growing.
Cuemath worksheets, games, and puzzles have also played a big role in her journey. They make learning both structured and fun. Her favorite is the Strangely game, and she proudly works on addition, subtraction, and multiplication with growing independence.
Tutors not only guide Yuneke but also support her mother by suggesting ways to reinforce learning at home, which makes homeschooling math easier.
“I would highly recommend Cuemath to other homeschooling families. It offers a fun, engaging, and personalized way to learn math, with supportive tutors and activities that make math enjoyable and build strong skills for young students. Cuemath is a wonderful one-on-one online learning program that engages students, supports them, and builds their confidence.”
