Grade 1-8 Maths Curriculum
Our math curriculum is aligned to Common Core State Standards.
Children in Grade K are already aware of numbers from 1 to 20. They are also comfortable with counting and writing numbers from 1 to 20.
Children in Grade 2 expand their knowledge of numbers, place values and place names. Children start to operate on 3-digit numbers.
Children in Grade 3 get introduced to new concepts like fractions, lines and polygons. They also learn to read and understand time in 24-hour format.
Children in Grade 4 get introduced to the concept of factors, multiples and prime numbers. Here they get to learn about decimal numbers.
In Grade 5 children learn to operate both on fractions and decimals. Concepts like percentages and the unitary method get introduced in Grade 5.
In Grade 6 a lot of topics from Grade 5 are done again but in more depth. Children get introduced to the concept of Algebra.
Children in Grade 7 learn about many applied math concepts like tax, discounts, simple and compound interest get introduced in this grade.
