# Complex Numbers

By now,you all must be familiar with the various number systems starting from the natural numbers to the real numbers. This chapter deals with the complex numbers and it has seven sections covering all the aspects of complex numbers. The first section briefs us about the form of roots- real and non-real.The second section tells us about the various types of operations formed on the complex numbers, starting with addition covering the meaning of modulus and argument and ending with division. The third section gives us a geometrical perspective of complex numbers. The fourth sections tells us about the Euler’s Form which makes multiplication and division much easier in complex numbers. The fifth section gives an overview of rotation which states a relationship between the complex numbers and the angles they make. The sixth section gives us an insight of roots of unity and power of complex numbers, with covering De - Moivre’s Theorem. The last section tells us more about geometrical area with more applications and with the use of co-ordinate and vector. At the end of this section, we have a series of exercises to test your understanding of this chapter, solved examples, previous years’ IIT JEE questions pertaining to this chapter.

In addition to preparing for the JEE mains and advanced exams, Cuemath Founder Manan Khurma's study material is helpful for students who are appearing for CBSE, ICSE and other State board exams.
