Functions
This is an expansive chapter with six sections which aids the learning of Calculus. The first section is about the introduction to functions and deals with important concepts of the domain and range of a function. The second section deals with Standard functions such as constant functions, linear functions, step function, trigonometric functions etc.The third section focuses on exponential and logarithmic functions. We will learn to visualize functions as mappings in section four.Properties of functions are dealt in the fifth section where even/odd , increasing/ decreasing and functions are discussed. Section six deals with inverse of a function and the last section has graphs and graph-plotting in detail. At the end of this section, we have a series of exercises to test your understanding of this chapter, solved examples, previous years’ IIT JEE questions pertaining to this chapter.
In addition to preparing for the JEE mains and advanced exams, Cuemath Founder Manan Khurma's study material is helpful for students who are appearing for CBSE, ICSE and other State board exams.
