Quadratic Expressions, Equations And Inequalities

This chapter has four sections and requires the prior knowledge on functions and graphs which aid the learning of quadratic equations. The first section deals with the introduction to quadratic expressions.Roots of a quadratic expression and important results related to the sum and product of the roots are covered in the second section. The third section deals with the conditions on roots and specific constraints like both the roots are positive or negative, both the roots are of the same sign or opposite sign and so on.The last section deals with solving general rational inequalities using the prior knowledge gained in the first section. At the end of this section, we have a series of exercises to test your understanding of this chapter, solved examples, previous years’ IIT JEE questions pertaining to this chapter.

In addition to preparing for the JEE mains and advanced exams, Cuemath Founder Manan Khurma's study material is helpful for students who are appearing for CBSE, ICSE and other State board exams.
