Adithi Rajashekhar is a 2nd grader from Chennai, who recently added a new feather to her hat of achievements by securing a perfect score of 40/40 and a Rank 1 in the SOF International Math Olympiad. We had the opportunity to talk to this young champ about her experience with the exam.

The Interview with Adithi Rajashekhar

Interviewer: How was your experience with the Math Olympiad?

Adithi Rajashekhar: It was an exciting opportunity for me to enter into the challenging world of Mathematics.

Interviewer: How did you prepare for it?

Adithi Rajashekhar: I learnt important math concepts from Cuemath. The Cuemath sample papers, demo tests, and practicing the Olympiad workbooks helped me aim and get the perfect score.

Interviewer: How did you feel when you got to know about your rank?

Adithi Rajashekhar: I was very happy about the rank I got.

Interviewer: How did being in Cuemath help you ace the Olympiad?

Adithi Rajashekhar: I was continuously working on sharpening my basic math concepts first. Apart from that, the Cuemath puzzle cards enabled me to handle all the reasoning questions well. 

Interviewer: How do you think Math will help you get closer to your dream of becoming an astronaut?

Adithi Rajashekhar: Everything in this world revolves around numbers and your understanding of numbers. As an astronaut, it’d be very important for me to understand various concepts of numbers including calculations of distances between planets, speed, etc.

Interviewer: What’s one piece of advice you’d like to give to the kids who are about to join Cuemath?

Adithi Rajashekhar: Cuemath will strengthen your basics, please give a chance to yourself to be strong on your basics.

  • Give yourself enough time to study
  • Make sure your study space is organized
  • Use flow charts and diagrams
  • Practice on old exams
  • Explain your answers to others
  • Organize study groups with friends
  • Take regular breaks
  • Snacking on healthy food is good for the brain
  • Plan the day of your exams
  • Drink plenty of water
