Introduction

There are major decisions taken after a student finishes his/her 12th class. The decision to attempt a particular competitive exam depends upon the candidate of what stream they wish to proceed with. The most popular exams for science students are JEE ( Joint Entrance Exam) AND NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).

JEE Main examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is done to provide admission into B. Tech courses in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Around 2.5 Lakh candidates  qualify in JEE Advanced that offers admission into IITs (Most reputed colleges of INDIA). This is one of the most important examinations that is conducted for candidates who wish to pursue engineering.

An effective Study Plan for JEE MAIN Competitive Exams: A goal without a plan is just a wish, and we do not have a magic  lamp which would make all our wishes come true so planning is important and crucial not just in preparation of JEE Mains but in every walk of life. Whether you look at exam toppers, successful businesses, or any professional doing good in life, the one thing that is common in all of them is that they do not work haphazardly; instead, they have a plan of action which they make and then follow it with full dedication.

While preparing the schedule for JEE EXAM keep some pointers in mind:

1. Time Table:

starve your distraction feed your focus

After referring to the JEE Main Syllabus, the candidate should create a perfect timetable that would fit his schedule. Division of the subjects should be done in a way that preparation should not be monotonous. A specific proportion of hours can be divided among each subject so that a candidate can give the same amount of preparation across all subjects.

2. Work on your Basics:

The candidates must ensure that they make their basic concepts strong so that they can correspondingly attempt tougher questions. By having an understanding of the basic concepts, it becomes easier for candidates to attempt tougher questions. Practicing sample papers with a basic understanding of various topics is important to do well in the examination.

3. Notes and Flashcards:

1 card, 1 question

Keeping notes and maintaining a list of formulae would be accessible to students across and would help them gain a good insight into the topics they usually are not strong in. It would also help in quick last minute revision for candidates to ensure a focused preparation that would be just close enough to the exams.

4. Strategic Breaks:

Every engineering exam aspirant goes through phases where they want to break free of shackles of their ambitions and enjoy the simple moments of life. The best way to snap out of such a phase of mindset is to listen to some happy, chirpy, motivating, soothing and action-oriented songs.

A candidate should also understand that taking breaks in between would help improve their concentration levels and recharge them in between to ensure quality preparation for JEE Main Examination.

5. Do not be Afraid of Failures:

Failure and creativity are not different; they are conjoined twins which go hand in hand. So always remember that No human ever became interesting by not failing. The more you fail and recover and improve, the better you are as a person.

The points above were a plan of action that will help in making your study plan a success. While some students may be incorporating some of these strategies in their studies, it might be new for some. Having a schedule is important as it helps you in staying in the correct path and staying in the game of being the best.
