Is Math Olympiad hard?
The examination is held over two consecutive days and contestants have four and a half hours to solve three problems per day, which can include geometry, number theory and algebra. You don't need knowledge of higher mathematics such as calculus, but the questions are designed to be extremely difficult.
How do you appear at the math Olympiad?
- Top 5% class wise candidates who appear in the Level 1 exam.
- Top 25 rank holders in Level 1 in terms of Class and Zone.
- Class topper will qualify for Level 2 where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam and scores 50% qualifying marks.
