A shopkeeper buys \(80\) articles for \(\rm{Rs}\, 2,400\) and sells them for a profit of \(16\%\). Find the selling price of one article.

**What is known?**

Number of articles bought \(= 80\)

Cost Price \(=\rm {Rs} \, 2,400\)

Profit Percentage \(= 16\%\)

**What is unknown?**

Selling price of one article

**Reasoning:**

With Cost Price and Profit Percentage, the Selling Price of all articles can be found. Dividing Selling Price by number of articles will result in Selling Price of one article.

**Steps:**

Cost Price of \(80\) articles \(= 2400\)

Profit Percentage \(= 16\%\)

\(\begin{align}\text{Selling Price }\, &= \frac{{{116}}}{{{100}}}{ \times 2400}\\&= \rm{Rs}\,{2784}\end{align}\)

OR

\(\begin{align}S.P. &= C.P. + 16\% {\rm{ }}C.P.\\ &= 2400 + \frac{{{16}}}{{{100}}}{ \times 2400}\\
