# NCERT Solutions For Class 10 Maths Chapter 4

As part of the introduction, the chapter 4 presents the standard form of a quadratic equation - *ax*^{2} + *bx* + c = 0. Next, through some examples, students are taught how to convert real-life situations into quadratic equations. Following this, multiple examples are provided so that students can get a better grasp of the concept. For the second exercise, the chapter covers the factorisation method for solving quadratic equations. It is noted that that the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial *ax*^{2} + *bx* + *c* and the roots of the quadratic equation *ax*^{2} + *bx* + *c* = 0 are the same. For the next exercise, the method of completing the square for solving quadratic equations is presented. Finally, the quadratic formula is presented.
