Kinjal Reached Strong In Year 7 NAPLAN Numeracy And An A+ In Maths

Kinjal reached Strong in Year 7 NAPLAN numeracy, scored 100 in her quarterly maths assessment and earned an A+ in her term test. Puzzles, stretch challenges and closing every learning gap with her Cuemath tutor, Sudeshna, made the difference.

Speed and accuracy are hard to fake in a timed paper. Kinjal built both through weekly online math tutoring with her Cuemath tutor, one puzzle and one challenge at a time, and her Year 7 results show it.

Three Strong Results In Year 7

NAPLAN is the national assessment every Australian student sits in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Numeracy results come back against four proficiency levels: Exceeding, Strong, Developing, and Needs additional support. Strong means a student meets the challenging but reasonable expectations set for their year level.

Kinjal reached that level in 2026, her first NAPLAN in high school. Her school results kept pace through the year: a perfect 100 in her quarterly maths assessment, and an A+ in her term test.

"Kinjal is enjoying her maths learning. Her interest has grown, and her speed and accuracy have improved a lot. Her love for the subject is visible."

Puzzles, Challenges And No Gaps Left Behind

Cuemath planned Kinjal's classes around interactive puzzles, so practice felt like something to solve rather than something to get through. It also set Kinjal challenges that sat a step ahead of her school work, stretching her just far enough each week.

Alongside that, Cuemath found the small gaps in Kinjal's earlier learning and worked through each one. With every concept sitting on a firm base, the new topics in Year 7 made sense the first time. Her calculations grew quicker and more accurate along the way, which shows up clearly in a timed paper like NAPLAN.

"In just a few months, her calculation speed has improved and she understands concepts clearly. Most importantly, she now enjoys solving puzzles and challenging herself. That change in mindset is her biggest achievement. Thank you, Cuemath."

Being MathFit Means Enjoying The Challenge

Cuemath calls this being MathFit: a child who builds maths skill and maths confidence at the same time. For Kinjal, that looks like a student who picks up a hard puzzle because she wants to, and carries that same confidence into school tests and NAPLAN. Kinjal is MathFit.

She is not the only one. Arnav reached the top of Exceeding in Year 7 NAPLAN, and Ayanah scored 100% in her Year 7 semester maths assessment. Different students, same pattern: gaps closed early, steady practice, and a love for maths that keeps growing.
