Amyraa's NAPLAN Numeracy Sits Above Her School's Average

Amyraa Soi sat NAPLAN in Year 5, and her numeracy result landed in Exceeding, the top of the four proficiency levels. She joined Cuemath in January 2026 already a strong student, and her tutor Neha Bhasin built her a plan aimed straight at the test.

Some students come to a tutor to catch up. Amyraa was not one of them. When she joined Cuemath in January 2026, A smart girl who already had the ability, as mentioned by her Cuemath tutor, Neha Bhasin. What she needed was clarity on the concepts and steady practice to keep them sharp. Neha has taught her since then, through weekly online math tutoring.

Meet Amyraa

  • Year: 5
  • Country: Australia
  • Tutor: Neha Bhasin
  • With Cuemath since: January 2026
  • NAPLAN 2026 Numeracy: Exceeding, the top of the four proficiency levels
  • Where the result sits: above her school's average, and above the national average

What Exceeding Means On A NAPLAN Report

NAPLAN is the national assessment every Australian student sits in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Numeracy results come back against four proficiency levels: Exceeding, Strong, Developing, and Needs additional support. The report goes further than naming the level. It plots a student's own result on a scale beside two markers: the average for their year level across the country, and the average for their own school.

Her Result Sits Above Both Markers

On the 2026 paper, the dot marking Amyraa's numeracy result sits inside Exceeding, at the top of the four levels. Her school's average sits below it. The national average for Year 5 sits lower again, down in Strong.

A Learning Plan built on NAPLAN Practice Sheets and Puzzles

Asked what made the difference, Neha points to the plan she built for Amyraa, designed around the test itself. Amyraa worked through puzzles and practice sheets in the form NAPLAN asks its questions, week after week, until the paper held no surprises.

"Amyraa has been with me since January. She is a smart girl who needed clarity and practice. With that support she has been able to perform brilliantly in NAPLAN. She got Exceeding, and made us all proud. The NAPLAN sheets helped."

~ NEHA BHASIN, CUEMATH TUTOR

"We were thrilled to see her excellent NAPLAN results, and we know this achievement wouldn't have been possible without your guidance and consistent support. Your ability to build her confidence while strengthening her skills has made a real difference."

~ BHAVNA, AMYRAA'S MOTHER

Building And Keeping That Confidence Is What Being MathFit Means

Being MathFit is not one good result. It is the confidence that comes from targeted practice, built up and then kept there, so the maths holds steady when a timed paper is in front of her. That is the work Amyraa and Neha put in week after week, and it is what the NAPLAN paper showed. Amyraa is MathFit.
