With the help of a ruler and a compass, it is possible to construct an angle of :
a. 35°
b. 40°
c. 37.5°
d. 47.5°
Solution:
Steps of construction
1. Construct a line with a ruler and name it as BC
2. Taking B as centre and suitable radius, construct an arc which meets BC at the point P with the help of a compass
3. Taking P as centre and suitable radius construct arcs PQ and QR
4. Bisect arc QR at S and bisect arc QS at T
5. Bisect arc PT at K
6. Join BK and produce it to A.
Now we get
∠ABC = 37 1/2 ° = 37.5°
Therefore, it is possible to construct an angle of 37.5°.
