What Parents Say After the Evaluation
Not a higher score or a bigger promise, just a clear, honest picture of how their child thinks.
Priya S.
Parent of a Grade 5 student
The clarity is the point. I thought I knew her math. I learned more in 55 minutes than I have from three years of report cards.
David M.
Parent of a Grade 4 student
I expected a test. It was more like watching someone finally figure out how my son thinks. The report told us exactly where to focus, not just a score.
Ananya R.
Parent of a Grade 7 student
Her grades looked fine, but the evaluation showed gaps we'd never have caught otherwise. The Specialist explained everything clearly, no jargon, just a real plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
The MathFit Evaluation is a comprehensive math diagnostic that shows you how your child actually thinks about math. In a 55-minute session with a trained MathFit Specialist, your child is assessed across four dimensions: Fluency, Understanding, Application, and Reasoning.
No. A trial class teaches your child; the MathFit Evaluation diagnoses how your child thinks about math. The Specialist isn't there to demonstrate teaching skills; the goal is to identify your child's strengths and gaps, and use that insight to build a tailored learning plan and match them with the right coach. You'll walk away with a personalized MathFit Report and clear recommendations for what to focus on next.
Your child works through carefully designed math problems with a MathFit Specialist. It's a dialogue, not a test, so the Specialist can observe how your child approaches, understands, applies, and reasons through problems.
No preparation is needed. This isn't a test, and we're not generating a report card that says your child got something wrong. Come exactly as you are, with the skills your child already has; the session is designed to diagnose those skills and build on them, closing learning gaps with the right coach.
You're welcome to stay for the full session. That said, we recommend being present for the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes in particular: the first 10 minutes help your child settle in and get comfortable, while the last 10 minutes cover the findings and recommendations, which you'll want to hear firsthand. For the middle stretch, many parents step back so their child can engage with the Specialist independently, but it's entirely up to you and your child's comfort level.
Our Specialists are trained in child learning psychology and know how to put kids at ease. The first 10 minutes are dedicated to helping your child feel comfortable and settling into the session before any real problem-solving begins. It won't feel like a test, and your child will be in safe, capable hands throughout.
A clear picture of your child's mathematical strengths and gaps across Fluency, Understanding, Application, and Reasoning, not just whether they got the right answer.
A MathFit Report and a personalized learning plan: what to focus on, in what order, mapped to your child's own school curriculum, plus practical recommendations you can act on at home.
