# The strength of a school is 2000. If 40% of the students are girls then how many boys are there in the school

**Solution:**

Given, the strength of a school is 2000.

40% of the students are girls.

We have to find the number of boys in the school.

According to the question,

Number of girls = 40% of 2000

= (40/100) × 2000

= 40 × 20

= 800

Number of girls = 800

Number of boys = total number of students - number of girls

= 2000 - 800

= 1200

Therefore, the required value is 1200.
