## How to Find Displacement?

The displacement is defined as the product of average velocity and time. SI unit of displacement is meter(m).

Find displacement if the initial velocity is 4 m/sec, the final velocity is 6 m/sec, and time is 20 sec?

**Solution:**

Given: Initial velocity(V_{i}) = 4 m/sec, final velocity(V_{f}) = 6 m/sec, time = 20 sec

Average velocity = (V_{i} + V_{f}) / 2

= (4 + 6) / 2

= 5 m/sec

Displacement = average velocity × t

= 5 × 20

= 100 m
