If 756x is a __multiple of 11__ implies it is divisible by 11. For a __number__ to be divisible by 11 the difference of the sum of digits in odd places and the __sum__ of digits in the even places is either zero or eleven.

Therefore,

(7 + 6) - (5 + x) = 0

x = 8 --- (1)

Or

(7 + 6) - (5 + x) = 11

x = 13 - 5 - 11 = -3 --- (2)

x cannot be negative and hence the value of x = -3 is invalid.
