The third term is ‘2’ added to the first term

We can also see a pattern between the 4^{th} term and 5th term and also between the 6^{th} term and 7th term, the difference is the same ‘-1’

Hence, the pattern is ‘squared’ then ‘ added 2 to that square ‘ and

then ‘subtracted 1 from the previous term’

So, we need to add 2 to 5^{2}, we get next term as 25 + 2 = 27
