# If the mean of 26, 28, 25, x, 24 is 27, find the value of x.

**Solution:**

Given, the data is 26, 28, 25, x, 24

The mean of the __data__ is 27.

We have to find the value of x.

__Mean__ = Sum of all observations/Number of observations

Sum of all observations = 26 + 28 + 25 + x + 24

= 50 + 53 + x

= 103 + x

Number of observations = 5

Mean = (103+x)/5

27 = (103+x)/5

103 + x = 27(5)

103 + x = 135

x = 135 - 103

x = 32

Therefore, the value of x is 32.
