Multiples of 30
The multiples of 30 are obtained by multiplying 30 by any integer. Clara is building blocks of 30. Every time she builds a set, she keeps adding 30 blocks per set. How many blocks will she use in her 5th set? 30 + 30 + 30 + 30 + 30= 150. Thus she needs 5 × 30= 150 blocks. In this minilesson, we will calculate the multiples of 30, and a few interesting facts about these multiples.

What Are The Multiples of 30?
The successive multiples of 30 are obtained as a product of 30 and the successive natural numbers.
 30 × 1 = 30, 30 × 2 = 60, 30 × 3 = 90, 30 × 4 = 120 and so on.
This shows that the first multiple of 30 is itself. The second multiple of 30 is 60, and the third multiple of 30 is 90 and so on.
You can observe that 30 is added to any multiple of 30 to get its successive multiple.
 The n^{th} multiple of 30 is got by multiplying 30 with n. For example, 25 th multiple of 30 is 30 × 25 = 750.
To understand the concept of finding multiples, let us take a few more examples.

Important Notes:
The first multiple of every number is the number itself. 30's first multiple is 30.
Every number (other than 0) has an infinite number of multiples. 30 too has infinite multiples.
The positive multiples of a number are always greater than or equal to the given number and are obtained by multiplying the given number by 1, 2, 3, etc
Multiples of 30 Solved Examples

Example 1:
William and David are friends and they both love trekking together. William can come to the swimming pool once every 30 days and David can come once every 15 days. Assuming they trek together on 1st of^{ }May, when can they trek together for the next time again?
Solution:
The first common multiple of 30 and 15 will help us solve the problem.
Multiples of 30 are 30,60,90,120,150,180,.......
Multiples of 15 are 15, 30,45, 60,75,90,105,......
The common multiples of 30 and 15 are 30, 60, 90, ......
The least common multiple of 30 and 15 is 30
Since they swam together on 1st of May, the date when they can trek together again is: (1+30= 31) 31st of May.
Example 2:John is saving money in a piggy bank to buy a play station worth $130. He saves $30 each week. How many weeks does it take for him to buy the watch?
Solution:
