Since the number of terms is even the median is the average of n/2^th and n/2 +1 ^th terms

n/2 = 8/2 = 4

n/2 +1 - 1/2 +1 = 4 +1 = 5

The 4^th and 5^th terms are 8 and 10.

The average of the 4th and 5th items = (8 + 10)/2 = 9

The Median = (8 + 10)/2 = 9
