# Find the median of the data: 3, 11, 7, 2, 5, 9, 9, 2, 10, 15, 7.

**Solution:**

Given, the data is 3, 11, 7, 2, 5, 9, 9, 2, 10, 15, 7.

We have to find the median of the __data__.

When the given data is arranged in ascending (or descending) order, then the middle most observation is the __median__ of the data.

Arranging the data in __ascending order__, we get

2, 2, 3, 5, 7, 7, 9, 9, 10, 11, 15

Number of observations, n = 11

If n is odd, then median = (n+1)/2 th term

Median = (11+1)/2 th term

= 12/2 th term

= 6th term

6th term = 7

Therefore, the median is 7.
