# Find the value of k where 31 k 2 is divisible by 6.

**Solution:**

Since 6 = 3 × 2

A __number__ divisible by 6 will be divisible both by 3 and 2.

31k2 ends in digit 2 hence it is divisible by 2

To be divisible by 3 the __sum__ of its digits have to be divisible by 3.

3 + 1 + k + 2 is divisible by 3

6 + k is divisible by 3

k = 0 or 3 or 6 or 9
