- TSA of a cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl). A cuboid is made up of 6 faces that are rectangular in shape. We first find the area of each individual rectangular plate and sum it up to get the result.
- TSA of a cube = 6a2. a is the length of the side. As a cube is made up of 6 squares, we first find the area of each square given by a2 and sum it up 6 times to get the result.
- TSA of a cylinder = 2πr (r + h). The curved surface area of a cylinder is given by 2πrh (multiplying height with the perimeter of a circle). It is also enclosed by two circles on the top and bottom given by πr2. We sum this up to get the formula.
