What is the Cuemath program?

Who are the tutors and how are they vetted?

Every class is led by a real, live tutor. Only the top 1% of applicants are selected, after checks on subject knowledge, teaching ability and how well they work with children. They are then trained in the Cuemath method before they teach a single class. Tutors are based mainly in India, hold degrees in Mathematics, Engineering or Education, and teach in fluent English.

Will my child have the same tutor every class?

Yes. Your child has one dedicated tutor, not a rotating one. Over time, the tutor learns how your child thinks, where they get stuck and what keeps them going. And it's the same tutor for everything: schoolwork, the tests your child is sitting, like GL Assessments, and any competitions they want to prepare for, like UKMT or SOF Olympiads.

Does Cuemath follow my child's school curriculum (IB, Cambridge, British, American or CBSE / ICSE)?

Yes. Tutors teach IB, Cambridge (IGCSE / A-Level), British, American and CBSE / ICSE curricula. Your child's plan follows their school's syllabus, so classes support what they learn at school instead of clashing with it.

My child is switching schools or curriculum. Can a tutor help close the gap?

Yes. Moving from CBSE to IGCSE, British to American, or back home to the UK often leaves gaps, because each curriculum teaches topics in a different order. Your tutor finds exactly what your child missed and fills it, so they settle into the new school without losing a year.

Yes. Your child's plan covers their full school syllabus, from fractions and measurement to word problems, geometry and algebra. Mental math and speed are built alongside.

Can classes fit around school, activities and weekends?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You choose the class times when you enroll, so they fit around school, sports and your family's week, including Friday afternoons and weekends. Classes are usually 2-3 times a week. Each class is 40 minutes for KG to Grade 2, 40 or 55 minutes for Grades 3 to 5, and 55 minutes from Grade 6 up.

Can we change class timings during Ramadan or when we travel in summer?

Yes. You can reschedule classes in the Cuemath app to suit your family's Ramadan routine. If you travel, your child can keep learning from anywhere with a laptop, or you can pause classes in the app so no class is lost.

What devices do I need for classes?

Since our classes are online, a desktop or laptop computer that supports video calling is necessary to attend them. We also highly recommend a writing tablet for the best learning experience.

Can my child join any time of the year?

Yes. Your tutor builds the plan around your child's needs and the time left in the school year. If you'd like to cover extra topics, you can always add classes.

How do I enroll my child?

Accepted Answer

Tap Get Started, tell us a little about your child, and book a MathFit Evaluation at a time that suits you. The evaluation is a 1:1 conversation, not a test. A Specialist works through a few math problems with your child to see how they think. Afterwards, you get a MathFit Report with what the Specialist found. We use it to build your child's learning plan and match them with a coach (that's what we call our tutors). Once you're happy with the plan, you can start regular classes with the coach on a schedule that works for you.

Can we reschedule or make up missed Cuemath sessions?

Yes, you have the flexibility to choose class timings and frequency that best suit your child. If a session is missed, you can easily reschedule tutoring sessions with your tutor at a mutually convenient time. All class pauses and rescheduling can be managed through the Cuemath app.
