How Divya Found Her Way To Teaching

"I am someone who wears multiple hats—a mother, a mentor, and a lifelong learner. My world revolves around creating a positive environment both at home and in my virtual classrooms. I love facing challenges and learning from all I go through."
"My journey was shaped by the desire to stay professionally active without compromising on being there for my family and love for sharing knowledge. Before Cuemath, I worked as a Software Developer and had to be outside during the office hours and at times had to work extra hours, compromising my family life. Although, I am very passionate about programming but it was somehow giving me extra stress due to having hard times balancing my family life."
"I also worked as a Corporate Trainer, teaching programming and skills to different teams. It was during this experience that I discovered my natural affinity and genuine love for education."
"Cuemath fits seamlessly into my life by offering the flexibility I always craved. A typical Tuesday for me now involves setting up my workspace, reviewing curriculum, and guiding students through their learning journeys. Between classes, I’m able to seamlessly transition back to my family responsibilities or connect with friends. It’s a fulfilling rhythm that allows me to grow professionally while staying rooted in my personal life."

Her Role Grew Far Beyond Teaching Maths

"I began my Cuemath journey with an offline Math center, where I first stepped into the world of teaching and mentoring students. Towards the end of 2018, I was trained for the online platform, a transition that opened up completely new opportunities for learning and growth."
"When the COVID period arrived, education changed overnight, and so did my role. During this time, together with Math, I stepped into coding education also and immersed myself in learning and teaching programming. What started as a challenge soon became a major achievement—I earned a Hall of Fame recognition for maintaining a 100% conversion rate."
"As per my experience, I became a part of the curriculum build-up team for coding, contributing to content development and learning strategies. Alongside this, I worked as a mentor, leading and supporting batches of nearly 80 teachers and taught Python. Over time, my responsibilities expanded further. I worked as an evaluator for math teachers, interviewed new coding teachers, and contributed as a reviewer and quality trainer."
"Many students who joined me in 2019 continue learning with me even today, which reflects the trust and bond we created over the years. Many of my SAT students scored 800/800 in math and I got a very beautiful message from the parents of 2 twins students. Although, financially it adds a lot to me but more importantly all these feelings become an eternal part of my life."
"Today, as a Cluster Director, I continue to learn every day. This role has brought new responsibilities, broader perspectives, and opportunities to lead teams, guide teachers, and contribute at a larger scale. It’s no longer just about teaching math; it’s about leading a community."

What She’d Tell Anyone Still Deciding

"If you are looking for a way to utilize your skills, earn a meaningful income, and make a tangible difference in children’s lives without sacrificing your personal life, Cuemath is the bridge that gets you there. You will start as an educator, but you will end up building a community."
"Cuemath gives you the structure of a world-class curriculum and an intuitive teaching platform, but pairs it with the ultimate flexibility. You are the master of your own schedule, allowing you to build a routine that actually gives you breathing room."
"Day-to-day, the work is profoundly rewarding. You aren’t just forcing kids to memorize formulas; you are teaching them how to think. When a student who used to be terrified of math suddenly smiles and says, ‘Oh, I get it now!’—that feeling is unmatched."
"You aren’t stagnant here. Over nearly a decade, I haven’t just watched my students grow—I’ve watched myself grow as an educator, a trainer, and a leader."

Divya started as an educator and grew into a leader who now guides other teachers.
