Her Life Before Cuemath

"I was a full-time homemaker."

What Made Her Start

"I always had a passion for maths but had never thought of teaching. I was looking for some maths content for my daughter in Grade 3, when I saw an ad about Cuemath and explored it. The curriculum, built with deep conceptual clarity, inspired me to become a tutor. As I have done my Master's in Maths, I could easily clear the test on maths skills, and the training built my confidence."

What Teaching Gave Her

"I joined Cuemath in mid-2019, and it was hard to get students; somehow I got two within three months. Then COVID hit. Fortunately, Cuemath gave all tutors the opportunity to teach online. I taught international students in this period; it was an opportunity in disguise, as I wouldn't even have thought of teaching for the US."
"Now I am back to offline for the past two years. Though I limit my growth due to personal constraints, Cuemath has always uplifted my skills through trainings and motivated me in difficult times."

What She'd Tell Anyone Still Deciding

"As we all know, the beginning of any journey is hard, and so is this. Our maths knowledge, teaching skills, the outcomes we deliver, and the trust we build matter the most. Dear new joiners, always be passionate to teach, and consider earnings as a by-product. Teaching is a noble profession."

What looked like a setback became Sandhya's opening: COVID-era online teaching took her all the way to US classrooms.
