# Find the domain of the function f (x) = (x^{2} + 2x + 1) / (x^{2} - 8x + 12)

**Solution:**

In mathematics,

a function means a correspondence from one value x of the first set to another value y of the second set.

The given function is

f (x) = (x^{2} + 2x + 1) / (x^{2} - 8x + 12)

On factorising the denominator, we got x = 6 and x = 2.

It can be seen that the function f is defined for all real numbers except at x = 6 and x = 2.

Hence,

the domain of the function f is a set of real numbers except 6 and 2.

i.e., R - {2, 6}

## Find the domain of the function f (x) = (x^{2} + 2x + 1)/(x^{2} - 8x + 12)

**Summary:**

A function f (x) = (x^{2} + 2x + 1) / (x^{2} - 8x + 12) is given. We have found that the domain of the function f is a set of real numbers except 6 and 2. i.e., R - {2, 6}
