Write two integers which are smaller than -3, but their difference is greater than -3
Solution:
There can be one or more than one set of integers smaller than -3, which on further solving gives the difference greater than -3.
Let us have the two cases.
i) Let us consider -5 and -4, the two integers smaller than -3. Now if we look at the difference of (-4) - (-5) = 1 which is greater than -3. Hence one pair of integers which fits in the given condition is (-4 and -5).
ii) Considering the same logic let us consider -6 and -10, the two integers are smaller than -3. Now if we look at the difference of (-6) - (-10) = 4 which is greater than -3. Hence another pair of integers which fits in the given condition is (-6 and -10).
✦ Try This: Write two integers which are smaller than -2, but their difference is greater than -2.
The two integers which satisfy the given conditions are -4 and -6. The two integers smaller than -2. Now if we look at the difference of (-4) - (-6) = 2 which is greater than -2.
