(5⁷ ÷ 5⁶)² = ______. Fill in the blanks to make the statement true.
Solution:
Given, (5⁷ ÷ 5⁶)² = ______
We have to fill in the blanks to make the statement true.
For any non-zero integers ‘a’ and ‘b’ and whole numbers m and n,
am ÷ an = am-n , m>n
Here, a = 5, m = 7 and n = 6
Since 7 > 6, it satisfies the condition m > n
m - n = 7 - 6 = 1
am-n = (5)¹ = 5
Now, (5⁷ ÷ 5⁶)² = (5)²
= 25
Therefore, (5⁷ ÷ 5⁶)² = = 25
