Passing through the point (- 4, 3) with slope 1/2
Solution:
We know that the equation of the line passing through point (x1, y1), whose slope is m, is (y - y1) = m (x - x1)
Thus, the equation of the line passing through point (-4, 3) , whose slope is 1/2,
(y - 3) = 1/2 (x + 4)
2(y - 3) = x + 4
2y - 6 = x + 4
x - 2y + 10 = 0
Hence the equation is x - 2 y + 10 = 0
