The universal set is,

U = { a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h}.

The complement of a set A is U - A,

where U is the universal set.

Thus,

(i) A' = U - A = { a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h} - {a, b, c} = {d , e, f , g, h}

(ii) B' = U - B = { a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h} - {d, e, f, g} = {a, b, c, h}

(iii) C' = U - C = { a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h} - {a, c, e, g} = {b, d , f, h}
