It costs ₹ 91 per m² to fertilise the vegetable garden. What is the total cost?

**Solution:**

From the figure,

Length of land used to grow vegetables = 49 m

Breadth of land used to grow vegetables = 15.2 m

We know that,

__Area__ of vegetable garden = 49 x 15.2

= 744.80 m²

Given,

Cost to fertilise 1 m² vegetable garden = ₹ 91

So, the cost to fertilise 744.80 m² vegetable garden = 91 x 744.80

= ₹ 67776.80

Therefore, the total cost is ₹ 67776.80.
