EARNINGS PAGE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 1.        Cuemath-Led Demos

Please Note: Demo earnings have been discontinued starting 1st July 2022. These terms and conditions are for demos taken before 1st July 2022.

                    1.1.        Policy

1.1.1.           A Cuemath-led demo is one for which the lead was generated by Cuemath via DDA or the demo allocation team. Please note, adding a lead from the LEADS tab is automatically classified as a Teacher-Led demo.

1.1.2.          There are two kinds of incentives for a Cuemath-led demo:

Demo-done Incentive - for conducting the demo

Enrollment Incentive - for a successful demo (that converts into enrollment). An enrolment incentive can only be given if a demo was DONE with the same student.

1.1.3.          A demo is successful if the enrollment happens within 21 days of the demo

1.1.4.          If the enrollment does not happen within 21 days of the demo, it will be considered unsuccessful, regardless of the reason for non-enrollment

1.1.5.      If the payment for enrollment happens before the demo takes place, then the enrollment incentive will not be given

1.1.6.          The amount of the each type (Demo Done / Enrollment)  of demo incentive depends on the:

     Demo state should be ‘DONE

     country of the lead

     Teacher’s latest demo rating

1.1.7.          The complete incentive table (with amounts based on country and rating) is available on the Earnings page in Leap-Teacher

1.1.8.          The incentive amounts are completely at the discretion of Cuemath, and will be changed from time to time. The amounts displayed on the Earnings page are the correct and updated amounts at all times.

1.1.9.          For Cuemath-led demos, teachers must NOT share any fee or discount related information with parents - such information will only be shared by the Cuemath team directly. Failure to comply with this policy for any demo will result in incentives being cancelled for that demo, and a stop to further demo allocation.

1.1.10.       The incentives for Cuemath - Led demos for Math and Coding are equal (as displayed on the Earnings page) Cuemath

1.1.11.       This policy is in effect starting from May 1, 2021. Each month’s payouts will be processed by the 10th day of the next month. However, for the months of May - August there may be a delay in processing payments which will be informed to teachers via email.

1.2.        How is my demo rating calculated?

1.2.1.          Your demo rating is updated whenever one of your demos is marked successful or unsuccessful.

1.2.2.          To update your rating, the system:

looks at your last few demos (up to 25)

calculates a cumulative score based on the number of successful and unsuccessful demos

     decides your rating band.

1.2.3.          The system also considers the number of demos you have conducted:

For example, if you have conducted only 1 demo so far, and it was successful, then while your conversion rate is 100%, you will not get the WOW rating directly.

You need a higher number of successful demos to move to higher ratings.

1.2.4.          While the exact specifics of the calculation system won’t be shared, please note that this system:

has now been tested out extensively so that it’s fair

applies uniformly to all 10,000+ Cuemath teachers

                    1.3.        FAQs

1.3.1.          When is a demo considered as DONE?

A demo is done only if both student and teacher are present in the demo and the student attempts at least 1 question or activity and is present for at least 30 mins of the session.

An attempt is defined as the student clicking on the blue “Check” button for any question (in a math demo) or clicking on the blue “Launch activity” button (in a coding demo).

The final demo state will be shown for each demo in the “Demos” tab. Please note that demos taken on Zoom/ Whatsapp with screen share will NOT be considered DONE.

1.3.2.          What is a successful demo?

A demo is successful if the enrollment happens within 21 days of the demo.

For a successful demo, the teacher will get both the demo-done incentive and the enrollment incentive.

1.3.3.          What is an unsuccessful (declined) demo?

A demo will be considered unsuccessful if the enrollment does not happen within 21 days of the demo, regardless of the reason for non-enrollment.

For an unsuccessful demo, the teacher will get only the demo-done incentive but not the enrollment incentive.

1.3.4.          How will my demo rating move from Unrated/ Basic to Wow?

Your rating will increase as you conduct more and more successful demos! :)

Please see the section “How is my demo rating calculated?” for more details.

1.3.5.          What happens if the student takes demos with multiple teachers?

Suppose that a student takes demos with two (or more) teachers, say Teacher-A and Teacher-B, and enrolls with Teacher-B.

Then, the demo by Teacher-A is unsuccessful, while the demo by Teacher-B is successful.

Teacher-A will get only the demo-done incentive but not the enrollment incentive.

Teacher-B will get both the demo-done incentive and the enrollment incentive.

1.3.6.          I conducted a great demo / did my best, but the parent did not enroll because of pricing / curriculum / tech issues outside my control. Why is my demo rating being impacted?

Regardless of the reason for non-enrollment, a demo is considered unsuccessful if the enrollment does not happen within 21 days.

The same standard is applied uniformly to all 10,000+ Cuemath teachers.

1.3.7.          I conducted a demo where the enrollment happened more than 21 days after the demo. Why is my demo rating being impacted?

Regardless of the reason for the delay in enrollment, a demo is considered unsuccessful if the enrollment does not happen within 21 days.

The same standard is applied uniformly to all 10,000+ Cuemath teachers.

If the parent did not enrol within 21 days but enrolled later, other factors like sales outreach (rather than the demo) have a larger role to play in most cases.

1.3.8.          If one of my demos becomes successful (or unsuccessful), how quickly will my rating move?

Your demo rating is based on the aggregate conversion of your past ~25 demos. The rating will move after a substantial number of demos move into the Declined or Enrolled bucket.

There may also be a case in which a similar number of demos go into the declined and enrolled buckets on the same day - in which the rating may stay constant (as there is no net change in enrolments)

1.3.9.          How will my rating and incentives be impacted if a demo does not happen?

There will be no impact on rating and incentives in the following cases:

The demo is rescheduled or cancelled by the Cuemath team before the demo time

The student does not turn up for the demo

However, if the teacher does not turn up for the demo, a no-show penalty will be levied (although there will be no impact on demo rating).

1.3.10.          Why is my demo rating showing up as Unrated / Basic ?

The demo incentives system was launched on Leap Teacher on May 1, 2021, and all teachers were assigned a rating of Unrated/ Basic .

If you still have an Unrated / Basic rating, it will change as soon as the enrollment status of your first demo post May 1 is finalised.

1.3.11.          Why is my demo rating lower than what it should be based on my demo conversion rate?

In deciding your demo rating, the system also considers the number of demos you have conducted.

For example, if you have conducted only 1 demo so far, and it was successful, then while your conversion rate is 100%, you will not get the WOW rating directly.

That is, along with a high conversion rate, you also need a higher number of successful demos to move to higher ratings.

1.3.12.          My demo was successful but my rating remained the same or still went down. How’s that possible?

Our rating formula takes into account the result of the past 25 demos to determine your accurate score. So you may not see a change immediately after 1-2 successful demos. Also if you had some demos that were declined on the same day as your successful one, your rating may go down.

However, this may have happened for a very small number of teachers in the beginning of May, when the system was just launched and was still in the process of calibration.

1.3.13.          My demo parent is from outside India but registered with an Indian number, so my demo incentive was lower than it should have been. How will this be fixed?

The country of the parent, and hence your demo incentive, is determined based on the parent’s phone number only. This cannot be changed / fixed.

However, please note that your demo rating will not be negatively affected in this case.

1.3.14.          The amounts in the demo incentives table are showing as changed / reduced in some cases. Why is that?

Demo incentive amounts will be changed from time to time, at the discretion of Cuemath, in accordance with demand volume coming in from different geographies.

Therefore, it is possible that two successful demos from the same country and on the same demo rating earn you different incentives.

The amounts displayed on the Earnings page are the correct and updated amounts at any given time.

1.3.15.          If I take multiple demos with my student, will I get multiple demo-done incentives?

No, each student-teacher pair is entitled to only ONE demo-done incentive. If multiple demos are taken with the same student, then the 21-day period will start from the date of the first demo.

1.3.16.          If my demo state is something other than DONE, will I get demo-done incentive and Enrollment incentive?

For demo-done incentive, the demo state has to be DONE. Hence if demo state is not DONE, demo-done incentive will not be given

However, in case a student enrols in spite of a different state,

Student enrols after NO_ATTEMPTS → ✅  Enrollment incentive given

Student enrols after T_NO_SHOW → ❌. No Enrollment incentive

Student enrols after S_NO_SHOW → ❌. No Enrollment incentive

Student enrols after CANCELLED → ❌. No Enrollment incentive

If any correction is made in the enrollment or demo-done incentive, it will be as per the rating on that day. For example, if the demo was on 3 June, and rating on 3 Jun was GOOD, then the corrections will be made on the basis of GOOD rating. Similarly, for enrolment incentive, the rating on the date the parent paid will be considered (even if the rating is different on the day the correction was made)

1.3.17.          I took a demo and that student enrolled, but due to time and date differences with the  student, I had to transfer the student to another teacher. In that case, will I get an enrollment incentive? Will it be visible in my earning tab?

Our policy is that the teacher who takes the demo and convinces the parent to enrol will get the incentive.

So if Teacher A takes the demo, parent pays, and then teacher A transfers to another Teacher B, then Teacher A will get the demo-done and enrollment incentive for converting the parent.

However, if the parent takes a demo with teacher B before enrolling with teacher A, teacher B will get the enrollment  incentive.

1.3.18.          I successfully converted a demo and the student has enrolled. But it is not showing as enrolled in my earnings page. What should I do?

You can raise a ticket with the following information, we will look into it:

     Teacher’s phone number:

Student’s ID (shown in leads tab):

Student’s Enrolled username (shown in profile section in student’s tab):

     Date and time of demo:

     Issue in short (4-5 words):

     Issue in detail:

1.3.19.          The student took demos with multiple teachers. Who will get demo incentives?

Demo-done incentive: All demos with state as DONE will get demo-done incentives. If the student has multiple demos with different teachers, then all demos with state DONE will get the demo-done incentives

Enrollment incentive: However, the enrollment incentive will be given only to 1 teacher with whom the parent decides to enrol.

1.3.20.          I took an hour long demo with my student but the state is still showing as NOT DONE (No Attempts). Why is this?

A demo is shown as No Attempts if the student has not clicked on the blue “Check” button for any question (in a math demo) or on the blue “Launch activity” button (in a coding demo).

We understand that there might be cases where the student is genuinely unable to click on the Check button. For example, if their English was poor, or very poor connectivity on the student’s side.

However, the state of this demo will remain as NO_ATTEMPTS only. We empathize that there is little that the teacher can do in this scenario, but we are unable to make a change here. The same standard is applied uniformly to all 10,000+ Cuemath teachers.

1.3.21.          Two siblings are sitting in the same demo session and both decide to enrol. What are the demo-done and enrollment incentives that the teacher will receive?

If a single demo session is done, then a single demo done and single enrolment incentive will be given, even if both the students separately enrol.

1.3.22.          Are the payouts applicable to students who are renewing their course or changing their teacher?

No. The incentives are valid for new Cuemath-led leads only.

1.3.23.          I received my payout on June 30th, but some corrections I have requested for the month of June have not been made yet. What do I do?

Any corrections in the previous month will be reflected in the next month’s statement

Do NOT send a new ticket for an existing issue. If you do, the resolution process will be delayed.

 2.        Teacher-Led Demos

                    2.1.        Policy

2.1.1.          A teacher-led enrollment is one for which the lead was generated by the teacher (via her/his own network). Leads added via the “LEADS” tab and/or Cueteacher app are Teacher-led demos (also known as Organic Leads).

2.1.2.          A teacher-led enrollment could happen with or without a demo (for example, if the teacher knows the parent well, the parent may not even ask for a demo).

2.1.3.          For any teacher-led enrollment, the teacher will be eligible to receive a certain percentage of the first time fee paid by the parent as an incentive, over and above the class payouts.

2.1.4.          This incentive is called the self-add incentive. The percentage to calculate this incentive is completely at the discretion of Cuemath, and will be changed from time to time. The percentage is 15% till 30th November 2021.

                    2.2.        FAQs

2.2.1.          Will I get a self-add incentive for a lead from outside India?

No, the incentive is only on India Math+coding.

2.2.2.          Will my demo rating be impacted if one of my own leads does not convert?

     No.
