Solution:

Let us calculate the discount on each item and calculate the final bill amount.

(a) Amount Charged for Atta = Rs. 200 - 16% of 200

= Rs. 200 - Rs. 32

= Rs. 168

(b) Amount Charged for Detergent

= Rs. 371 - 22.10% of 371

= Rs. 371 - Rs. 82

= Rs. 289

(c) Amount Charged for Namkeen

= Rs. 153 - 18.3% of 153

= Rs. 153 - 28

= Rs. 125

The total amount Arunima has to pay is:

Total Amount Paid = Rs. 168 + Rs. 189 + Rs. 125

= Rs. 482
