Find the angle which is equal to its complement
Solution:
Complementary angles are those angles that add up to 90 degrees.
Let the angle be 𝑥.
Therefore, the complement of this angle will also be 𝑥. [Since, its given that the angle is equal to its complement]
We know that the sum of the measure of pair of complementary angles is 90°.
𝑥 + 𝑥 = 90°.
2𝑥 = 90°.
𝑥 = 90°/ 2
𝑥 = 45°.
Thus, the angle which is equal to its complement is 45°.
