# The median of the data : 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 3, 4 is

(a) 5

(b) 3

(c) 4

(d) 6

**Solution:**

Given, the data is 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 3, 4

We have to find the __median__ of the given data.

When the given data is arranged in ascending (or descending) order, then the middle most observation is the median of the __data__.

Arranging the data in __ascending order__, we get

3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7

Number of observations, n = 7

If n is odd, then median = (n+1)/2 th term

Median = (7+1)/2 th term

= 8/2 th term

= 4th term

4th term = 4

Therefore, the median is 4.
