Method One:

The marked price(MP) of the video game at store A = 750

Discount % = 25%

Discount = Discount % × MP = 25% × 750 = Rs. 187.50

Sales Price = Rs. 750 - Rs. 187.50 = Rs. 562.50

The game is less expensive at store A

Method Two:

Since the discount % = 25%

Selling Price(SP) = (1 - Discount %) × Marked Price

SP = (1 - 0.25) × 750 = 0.75 × 750 = Rs. 562.50

The game is less expensive at store A

Method Two:

Since the discount % = 30%

Selling Price(SP) = (1 - Discount %) × Marked Price

SP = (1 - 0.30) × 800 = 0.70 × 800 = Rs. 560
