# Achal bought a second-hand car for Rs 2,25,000 and spent Rs 25,000 for repairing. If he sold it for Rs 3,25,000, what is his profit per cent

**Solution:**

Cost Price of the second hand car = Rs. 2,25,000

Amount spent for repairing = Rs. 25,000

Final Cost Price (CP) of the Car: = Rs. 2,25,000 + Rs. 25,000 = Rs. 2,50,000

Selling Price (SP) of the car = Rs. 3,25,000

Profit = SP - CP = Rs. 3,25,000 - Rs. 2,50,000 = Rs. 75,000

Profit Percent(%) = (75000/2,50,000) × 100 = 30%

**✦ Try This: **Achal bought a second-hand car for Rs 3,25,000 and spend Rs 50,000 for repairing. If he sold it for Rs 5,25,000, what is his profit per cent?

Cost Price of the second hand car = Rs. 3,25,000

Amount spent for repairing = Rs. 50,000

Final Cost Price (CP) of the Car: = Rs. 3,25,000 + Rs. 50,000 = Rs. 3,75,000

Selling Price (SP) of the car = Rs. 5,25,000

Profit = SP - CP = Rs. 5,25,000 - Rs. 3,75,000 = Rs. 1,50,000

Profit Percent(%) = (1,50,000/3,75,000) × 100 = 40%
