**Solution:**

We use the concept of positive and negative integers to represent the given statements as integers with appropriate signs.

Whenever there is an increase/above/addition/deposit, we use a positive sign (+) whereas, whenever there is a decrease/reduction/below/withdrawal, we use the negative sign (-).

(a) Two thousand metre above the ground = + 2000 m

(b) Eight hundred meters below the sea level = - 800 m

(c) Deposit of rupees two hundred = + ₹200

(d) Withdrawal of rupees seven hundred = – ₹700
